Armelle Solelhac
Armelle Solelhac is a snow sports passionate from an early age. With her Masters in Business Law and an Executive Specialized Masters in Marketing & Communication at ESCP Europe (Paris) in her pocket in 2005, she left to ride ski areas around the world for 2 years. She visited 274 ski areas in 27 countries on 5 continents. Back home, she founded SWITCH, an experiential marketing and digital communication agency specialized in tourism and outdoor sports, located in Annecy (France) and Los Angeles (USA). In parallel, she teaches at the Grenoble Graduate School of Business, ISCOM (Paris, France) and ESCP Europe (Paris, France).
For 7 years, she has developed her field of research on enchantment, influence and customer experience on social media. She is invited all around the world to speak about the best practices on social media for brands and tourism destinations and has visited more than 50 countries so far. She is an active member of Cluster Montagne, the French Mountain Cluster, for the past four years, working to strengthen the mountain tourism (winter and summer) in the French Alps. Learn more…
Scott Stern
Scott Stern is the David Sarnoff Professor of Management and Chair of the Technological Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Management Group at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Stern explores how innovation and entrepreneurship differ from more traditional economic activities, and the consequences of these differences for strategy and policy. His research in the economics of innovation and entrepreneurship focuses on entrepreneurial strategy, innovation-driven entrepreneurial ecosystems, and innovation. Recent studies include the impact of clusters on entrepreneurship, the role of institutions in shaping the accumulation of scientific and technical knowledge, and the drivers and consequences of entrepreneurial strategy.
Mark Skinner
Mark Skinner serves as SSTI’s Vice President and Director of the Regional Innovation Acceleration Network (RIAN). RIAN strives to grow the impact of public, private and philanthropic investments in science, technology and innovation by strengthening the performance of venture development organizations.
RIAN’s work has been generously funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration since 2010. His recent RIAN research into the attributes of regional initiatives emerging from the convergence of the four development traditions led to nearly two dozen speaking engagements over the past year and promising new leads to broaden ownership and investment for regional prosperity through science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
