Alan Cabelly

Alan Cabelly, Professor Emeritus at Portland State University, has taught and advised students, executives, and leaders since the mid 1970s. Teaching Leadership and Human Resource Management, he has spoken to diverse groups nationally and internationally, at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels, including in France, Germany, Russia, Serbia, Viet Nam, China, and Abu Dhabi.  His leadership and insightful talks change lives.

Prof. Cabelly is founder and Executive Director of the Portland Leadership Institute, which focuses on Leadership Excellence in the 21st century.

Alan has spent the last two years giving corporate and professional presentations on Work Life with and after COVID, and has helped leaders Change Their Perspective on Change, increase their Focus to Improve their Personal Leadership, and improve their Strategic Negotiating Ability. While holding his full time academic position, he has delivered more than 75 presentations to corporate America in the last two decades.

Alan’s personal mission is to help individuals increase their leadership skills and improve the functioning of their work teams. He helps people find passion in their work life environment, leading to greater individual engagement and satisfaction, and increased organization productivity.

Dan Robinson

Dan Robinson is the Chief of Research and Analysis at the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development. He writes frequently about the state’s economy and job market and his team at Research and Analysis produces many of the state’s key economic data sets, including job numbers, wages, unemployment rates, and population. He has an economics degree from Utah State University and a law degree from Cornell.

Other than his nearly twenty years at the Department of Labor, he has worked at economic consulting firms in Washington, D.C. and Juneau, a law firm in New York, the Department of Law in Anchorage and Juneau, and has executed hours of glamorous work delivering pizzas, cooking hamburgers, waiting tables, mowing lawns, and cleaning swimming pools.
