RSVP for our 2024 Innovation Tours!

First, explore Juneau’s innovative creative spaces that honor the heritage of our traditional Northwest Coast native arts while also embracing the advancing forefront of modern technology. This tour will involve visits to the Juneau Makerspace, as well as the Sealaska Heritage Institute Arts Campus and Walter Sobeloff Building. Learn how these vital community resources provide our local artists with creative spaces to design and build, while also engaging in lively discussion about the invigorating maker movement happening now across Alaska and Canada.
Second, explore the careful choreography of technology and logistics that keeps our summers running smoothly. See how a local non-profit collaborates with the U.S. Coast Guard to monitor all maritime vessels underway in the Inside Passage 24/7; learn how our local municipal government keeps Juneau’s many docks prepared for the arrival of each cruise ship; and take a peek into the land operations for a major cruise line that maintains their own fleet of vehicles ready to transport tourists on their tours around Juneau.
 
SPACE IS LIMITED. Both tours are scheduled prior to the kickoff the Summit on Wednesday, February 28. Buses will depart from and return to our main venue, Centennial Hall.
