Join Juneau Parks & Recreation at the 2025 Juneau Maritime Festival!

Juneau Parks & Recreation is excited to announce our participation in the 2025 Juneau Maritime Festival for the second consecutive year! Our mission is to promote community health, wellness, and engagement through a variety of programs and events designed to bring residents together.

We proudly serve the entire Juneau community, offering an array of activities for all ages—from parks and public use cabins to year-round recreational opportunities. Our managed facilities include Dimond Park Field House, Eagle Valley Center, Jensen-Olson Arboretum, Juneau Pools, Hank Harmon Public Range, Mt. Jumbo Gymnasium, Treadwell Arena, Zach Gordon Youth Center, and many more, including shelters, playgrounds, and outdoor spaces that cater to both children and adults. Our commitment to planning, building, and enhancing facilities ensures a vibrant and active community for everyone.

Walk Southeast – Join the Challenge!

This year at the Maritime Festival, we are thrilled to feature one of our most exciting events: Walk Southeast! Challenge yourself to virtually walk the 297 miles from Juneau to Ketchikan. Once you reach 150 miles, you’ll be entered to win two round-trip tickets from Alaska Airlines, along with chances to win local prizes at various checkpoints along the route!

Registration is absolutely free! Visit our booth to learn how to sign up, download the app, and start tracking your miles. Don’t forget, registration is open for just three weeks starting in mid-April, so be sure to seize this opportunity!
