 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a State of Alaska Public Assistance Program that provides benefits for low-income households.

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) through the Southeast Alaska Food Bank helps supplement the diets of low-income families by providing them with food boxes at no cost.

Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska has several programs that could offer support for food insecurities.  These services are open to tribally enrolled citizens.

Local village corporation offices may also provide emergency funding for food.  Check with your local office.

Many churches and social services organizations may also have food pantry resources available.  Local schools often have additional resources to support food for families.
