Direct Support Professionals
Direct Support Professionals (DSP) provide support to people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, and elders to remain safe living independently in their home community. They help with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and attending appointments. In some situations, they may provide medication administration, education on life skills, develop behavioral management plans and maintain records. Direct Support Professionals are a primary advocate for their clients and critical to offering others the ability to age in place.
