Designed for teachers by Juneau Girl Scout Jordan Cooper as her Gold Award Project!

Kids Rock Science! Is a curriculum designed for you to lead fun, easy activities with your kids. This program was designed by Juneau Girl Scout Jordan Cooper for her Gold Award project. Currently this page has six sessions available each with 2 hours of material. Within each session, there are various activities in a suggested order relating to the session’s topic. The activities range from experiments, to building challenges, to exploration. Each activity includes a description, needed materials, easy to follow instructions, and a scientific explanation that is easy for kids to understand. Some activities also include Try It! activities, real world applications, or fun facts. 

Chemistry Session

Here you will find five crazy, fun, and even tasty science experiments. Get out your paper towels and do these with your kids! (Or just by yourself ’cause they’re awesome.) 

Physics Session

Here you will find five fun activities from experiments, to building. Gather your materials and do these with your kids! (Or just by yourself ’cause they’re awesome.)

Human Body Session

This is the Human Body session! Here you will find five contraptions, tricks, and more to learn about you! Gather your materials and do these with your kids! (Or just by yourself ’cause they’re awesome.) 

Water Session

This is the Water session! Here you will find six wet, colorful, and cool activities. Gather your materials and do these with your kids! (Or just by yourself ’cause they’re awesome.)

Engineering Session

This is the Engineering session! Here you will build, fly, and crash your way through four activities. Gather your materials and do these with your kids! (Or just by yourself ’cause they’re awesome.)

Science Magic

This is the Science Magic session! Here you will find the secrets to five cool tricks. Gather your materials and do these with your kids! (Or just by yourself ’cause they’re awesome.) 

Astronomy
